Plures is a nonprofit widening the public conversation on AI governance. We run essay contests and public debate in local languages, starting in countries outside the AI frontier, so that more people can shape how AI is governed where they live.
Because they will live with AI's consequences and hold real leverage over how it is governed, yet AI governance is barely part of their public conversation. Building talent, awareness and policy capacity there is one of the most neglected ways to make AI go well for everyone.
Our first essay contest is live in Brazil, in Portuguese. We are documenting everything we learn so partner organizations can run contests in their own countries, and building the network to make that happen.
