Pre-registration extended to October 15

There is still time. Pre-registration for the 1st Essay Contest - Brazil has been extended to October 15. The contest asks for an essay of up to 1,500 words, in Portuguese, answering a direct question: what should be done, and by whom, for Brazil to prepare for a world increasingly transformed by artificial intelligence. Submissions run until November 15 and results come out by December 13. Those already pre-registered will receive the official rules and the notice that submissions are open by e-mail.

The Plures Network is open

We're launching the Plures Network, for AI governance and safety organizations in middle-power countries. Across these countries, organizations are already engaging governments, producing research and building local capacity, often with limited resources and little contact with peers facing the same problems elsewhere. The network connects them to share what works, collaborate across borders and coordinate around global AI governance processes. We're starting by mapping who is doing this work and where they get stuck. If that's your organization, join us.

The 1º Concurso de Ensaios - Brasil is open

Our first essay contest is live, in Portuguese. It asks what should be done, and by whom, to prepare for a world increasingly transformed by AI. The contest site has curated reference materials to start from, and the best essays win prizes. Pre-registration is open now.
